| Solution: |
| I love the look of a glass top stove, but there are a few things that you need to keep in mind to keep them looking their best. |
| |
|
| 1.
Make sure that you only use pots and pans with a smooth bottom. Pans with ridges will cause uneven heating and damage the glass cooking surface. Also check your owner's manual because on some glass stoves you can't use copper or glass pans. |

| 2.
Everybody runs into a spillover at some point. The trick is that until the burner cools the spill will tend to bake onto the surface, but wiping off a scorching hot burner is dangerous! My trick. Let the burner cool, sprinkle the stain with some baking soda and lay a hot wash cloth over the top, let it sit for ten minutes and the stain will wipe away. |

| 3.
If you have stubborn spots, try softening with warm white vinegar on a cloth and then scraping with a credit card or a plastic pot scraper. But remember be gentle! |
| |
| 4.
Small stains and spills can be tackled with a little white toothpaste on a soft cloth! Just rub in a circular motion with a damp cloth and then polish to a shine.

| 5.
Baking soda, toothpaste and white vinegar are a lot less expensive than buying a smooth top stove cleaner. |
