| Counter tops are an important part of the kitchen, but they aren't easy to keep looking great. Here are some easy ways to care for yours! |
| |
|
| 1.
Laminate countertops are probably the most common countertops around. Never use an abrasive cleanser or steel wool on laminate because they'll scratch the surface. For everyday cleaning just use a soapy cloth. |
| |
| 2.
Clean away stains on laminate counters with a paste of baking soda and water. Just spread the mixture over the stain, and leave it for a half hour or so. Then, scrub the stain away with a toothbrush. |
| |
| 3.
Another easy stain remover is to scrub the area with a cut lemon. The lemon juice will cut through the mess. |
| |
| 4.
For a really stubborn mark, pull on your gloves and try some household bleach mixed with water. You can also use bleach for tile countertops. It will keep the grout nice and white. A toothbrush will help you get into those tiny grooves. |
| |
| 5.
For marble counters, clean away stains with a paste of salt and lemon juice. Or dab the stain with hydrogen peroxide. It will clean away the stain in no time! |
