Solution:
Holidays mean getting together with friends and family. They can also mean stains.

1. If someone spilled coffee or tea on your carpet, mix together a little borax in a bowl of water. Use a white cloth to dab the mixture onto the stain. When you see the mark lightening, switch to clean water to rinse it.

2. If the stain is on your linens, put on a pot of water to boil. In the meantime, put the stained material over a bucket and secure it. Put it on the floor. Pour the boiling water through the fabric from a couple of feet up. Just be very careful not to splash while you're pouring. This will flush the stain out of the fabric.

3. If you get an oil stain on your tablecloth, pour some baby powder on it as soon as possible; this will start absorbing the oil. Then, brush away the baby powder and pour a few drops of shampoo on the stain. This will break up the oils so that you can wash as usual.

4. Cranberries get spilled? Scrape up any that are left and then dab the stain with some lemon juice. You should see the stain start to lighten up. When it does, you can flush the whole thing with cold water.
