| Solution: |
| It is all the rage to mimic architectural pieces when accessorizing your home. I have an easy way to make a mirror out of a ceiling medallion. |
| |
|
| 1.
Pick up a reproduction ceiling medallion at your local home improvement center. They go for between five and ten dollars. |
| |
| 2.
Prime and paint the medallion with two coats of acrylic paint. If you have a plastic or resin medallion make sure you get a bonding primer. |
| |
| 3.
Now for the mirror. Trace the opening of the medallion to use as a template so you're sure that you're getting the right size. Here is a handy tip. If you hit your local discount store you can pick up a mirror for under a dollar much less than at a home center or a glass store and they come in a bunch of different sizes. |
| |
| 4.
Now remove any framing pieces from your mirror and simply secure your mirror to the backside of the medallion with some mirror adhesive. |
